I don't think it matters if you are a coach, teacher of any kind, or astronaut, I believe you should have a philosophy to attain the goals that you set forth for yourself. If you don't set goals, then you're probably just coasting along aimlessly, and this article is not for you. This article is, in fact, for people who are constantly seeking new and valuable information to enhance their training. There are many different philosophies, and many of which work very well for a wide variety of athletes. The philosophy that you live and train by, as an athlete, should be derived from factual information that you have at hand, and how you can apply it for performance enhancement. Too many people blindly follow someone elses lead, and do not blaze their own path. That being said, there are a few coaches out there that have the wisdom that get people to listen to and follow them as if they are leaders of a tribe. Coach Ethan Reeve is one of those guys. He has gained a huge following over the years and for good reason, he and his athletes kick major ass. I have recently had the pleasure to meet Coach Reeve for lunch and discuss life, training, and strawberry shortcake. We talked for a few hours and he spoke of his family, his background, his passion for coaching and several other things. He was sincere and inviting and helped me figure out what I am trying to accomplish with my gym, my business and my life. While I did not record our private conversation, I was able to record his presentation at the Virginia Strength Coach Clinic where he presented for a roomful of strength coaches in my state. Here is the first few minutes where he discusses philosophy, I think you will like it, and it is the first part of a series of articles on this subject.

But, here you have the opportunity to get the entire WFU Football Program plus 4 months of extremely valuable training info from The Strength Shop, along with daily programming from me.
